2020 Workshops & Events:

Beginning Carving
Saturday, December 12th | 8:30AM – 11:30AM & 12PM – 3PM
Beginning Carving workshop with Nalu Andrade of Na Maka Kahiko introducing participants to different types of carving tools, carving techniques, and characteristics of different types of woods. Introduction to carving chisels and micro chisels. A hands-on workshop where students will learn how to use the tools to make different cuts, profiling, form, and technique. Upon completion of the workshop, students will create a reference board with the various types of cuts and an ‘ohe kapala. Cost: $75, or $50 for current garden members.
