Join the author of the new book, Kō: An Ethnobotanical Guide to Hawaiian Sugarcane Cultivars to discuss the history, growing, identification, and application of heirloom Hawaiian sugarcane. Please come ready to be outdoors in any weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring your own water and snacks.

At 4:30 pm, participants may return for a tasting of fresh squeezed sugarcane juice, comparing different cultivars.

The Garden is located at 150 Kanaloa Avenue in Kahului, Maui, right across from the War Memorial Stadium.
