April is Native Hawaiian Plant Month

MNBG's Executive Director Tamara Sherrill explains the history and significance of Hawaiian Plant Month on Akakū's "The Maui Daily."

Admission is free to Maui Nui Botanical Gardens for all Hawaii residents and for keiki 12 and under, and we are open Tuesday through Saturday.

Maui Nui Botanical Gardens is a great place to see native plants fully grown, and our free audio tour app in combination with the plant identification sign QR codes can teach you where they like to grow and about traditional Hawaiian uses.

We have a plant sale every Thursday and a plant giveaway (residents only) every Friday. To see what is for sale or giveaway, check Instagram or Facebook @mauinuibg or our website home page on that day of the week.
